The company currently has 1,658 MW of installed solar in Spain and is constructing 1,405 MW of new solar, including its first projects in Italy. The plan is to connect this fully financed portfolio to the grid throughout 2025, according to Solaria’s presentation of upcoming projects in Europe.

From 2026 onwards, Solaria’s portfolio will be more diversified with the gradual addition of wind and battery energy storage and expansion to Germany and Portugal.

The introduction of capacity payments in Spain from 2025 is expected to accelerate the development of battery storage solutions, which the company wants of hybridise with solar plants. Similarly, new regulations in Italy will catalyse the deployment of renewable energy, Solaria said.

Solaria's projected 14.3 GW portfolio in 2028 will be primarily composed of solar power (80%), followed by wind power (14%) and battery storage (6%). Geographically, 60% of the capacity will be in Spain, 22% in Italy, 12% in Germany, and 5% in Portugal.

Solaria’s long-term target is to reach 18 GW by 2030.
